Martin Herold's work unfolds in thematically closed cycles. The pointed pixels often represent the author in a spatial installation. The themes of his paintings are based on the observation of his immediate surroundings and the tide of the media image. The
current range of paintings templates the abstract language of
architecture, but the realistic depiction of existing places leaves them
with narrative content.
