Czech painter. He was born on 8.9. 1909 in Žarošice and died 7.4. 1989 in Hodonín.

He studied at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Uherské Hradiště under V. Hroch and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under V. Nechleba. J. Konečný worked in Horňácko and in Podluží. He was a member of the Moravian Visual Artists Association. His work has become the domain of his portrait, as well as capturing folklore motives, life in the village, and so on.
