Hegr Jindřich

Czech painter, graphic artist and illustrator.

Born on March 19th, 1933 in Svratouch in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, died no December 9th, 2015. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Prague and at the Academy of Fine Arts in the atelier of Professor V. Rada. His realistic paintings were often inspired by urban motifs with a poetic and religious subtext pointing to Hegr`s symbolic tradition. His works were exhibited not only in Prague but also in galleries in Paris or Warsaw.
