Painter and graphic artist Jan Rapin was born in 1956 in Prague. In his work, he continues the traditional values from Gothic spirituality through Baroque play with light to modern artistic currents. Admiration for Baroque works captures the harmony and aesthetic values that he has found for many years, especially in the figure of a woman. He received international recognition at the watercolor painting show in Rome. He exhibits in the Czech Republic and abroad. Jan Rapin is one of the renowned artists of the contemporary art scene, as evidenced by the number of his solo exhibitions.
